Good Practices

எமது நிறுவனம் வழமையான ஒரு அரச சார்பற்ற நிறுவனம் என்பதற்கு மேலாக ஒரு சமூக இயக்கமாகவும் செயற்பட்டுக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றது.

  • இளைஞர்களிற்கான பயிற்சிகள், சமூகசேவை நிறுவனங்களிற்கான பயிற்சிகள், முகாமைத்துவப் பயிற்சிகள், நடமாடும் நூலக சேவை, சிறுவர் கழகங்களை அமைத்து சிறுவர்களிற்கு வழிகாட்டுதல், ஆண்மீக நன்னெறிக் கருத்துக்கள், கலைகலாச்சாரம் தொடர்பான விடயங்கள் போன்றவற்றை இறுவெட்டக்களாக வெளியிடுதல். சொற்பொழிவுகள், கருத்தரங்குகளை நடாத்துதல். போன்றவற்றை பரவலாக செயற்படுத்தி வருகின்றோம்.
  • எமது நிறுவனத்தில் தொண்டர்களிற்கான ஒரு பிரிவை உருவாக்கி தொண்டு அடிப்படையில் இலவசமாக சமூக சேவைகளை இத் தொண்டர்கள் ஊடாக செயற்படுத்தி வருகின்றோம். அவர்களுக்கென்று தனியான இணையத்தளமொன்றை உருவாக்கி அவர்களால் செய்யப்படுகின்ற நற் செயற்பாடுகளை, திட்டங்களை , கருத்துக்களை தனியாக வெளியிட்டு வருகின்றோம்.
  • சமூகம் எதிர்கொள்கின்ற பல்வேறு பிரச்சினைகள் தொடர்பான பல்வகையான கட்டுரைகளை எழுதி வெளியிட்டிருக்கின்றோம்.
  • அரச சேவைகள் பற்றியும், நிறுவனங்கள் சேவை பற்றியும் பல நூல்களையும் இறுவெட்டுக்களை வெளியிட்டிருக்கின்றோம்.
  • பல்வேறு அரச திணைக்களங்கள், பல்கலைக்கழகங்கள், கல்விமான்கள், சமூக சேவையில் அக்கறை உடையவர்களை அழைத்து சமூகம் சார்ந்த பிரச்சினைகளைப் பற்றி கலந்தரையாடல்களை நடாத்தி வருகின்றோம்.
  • சமூகம் எதிர் கொள்கின்ற பிரச்சினைகள் தொடர்பாக சம்மந்தப்பட்ட அதிகாரிகளுடன் தொடர்பு கொண்டு அவற்றின் பிரச்சினைகளிற்கு தீர்வு கண்டு வருகின்றோம்.

SOND Capacity

  1. We have well-trained staff working with the organization for the last 15 years.
  2. 28 Donors , including INGOs, UN agencies, local donors have supported us in the past 15 years. We are receiving funds from Diakonia for the last 16 years. We have receive funds from Christian Aid since 2002 to 2012 till the closure of their Sri Lankan office.

We have implemented three  EU funded project in the past.

  1. USAID since Tsunami 2005 funded us for many projects till 2013 from Ampara and Batticaloa USAID office. We work with Youth in many programs. Media, Photography, Script writings, Video documenting Community issues, Peace and Sports, Peace through media are a few programs.
  2. We have experience in Management Capacity Building program. We conduct Capacity building training program for NGOs and CBOs with UNDP, ZOA, IOM, CARE, ASB, SAH, support in North and East.
  3. We have a good experience in Climate change project, Environment protection programs , Organic Agriculture. We are implementing two 12 acre Organic farm in Jaffna and Ampara district. We are conducting a Climate cahnage action forum in Batticaloa district with the participation of 12 Government department and 14 NGOs and INGOs. Monthly meeting is conducted and actions are being taken for serious issues concerning the district.

We also conduct a Symposium on Climate change in the Eastern university with the participation of the government department, Four department form the University, students, INGOs, NGOs, Media, Researchers.

We facilitate to provide Organic Certificate to 61 Banana farmers in Jaffna district.

  1. We work with Children, elders, Youth and women.
  2. We have a very good coordination with the government departments, Universities and other relevant institutions and people when implementing our programs.
  3. We have a resource center in all of our office with books CDS and Magazines and reports on Community development and other related themes.
  4. We have create a good model in NGO sector by using our resources effectively.
  5. We are implementing many community development programs with the support of the community without raising funds.
  6. We have an intellectual forum to discuss and advocate for the people issue.
  7. We have the vehicles , motorcycles, and other needed equipment like Computers, Multimedia projectors, photo copiers ect for the project implementation.
